This is my third one, I wrecked the first by using non HP inks (the print head failed) so I used only genuine HP inks on the second one. That one was quite noisy and "dithered around" noisily before printing, but otherwise worked well, until it failed after a year. This latest one works quickly and quietly so we will see. The printer uses very expensive inks which last a long time (XL size) so the per page cost is low, although the "ink gauge" is pessimistic and it works well long after it says new inks are required.

I bought this printer a few days ago and install a CISS in it. This rock hard!! Keep in mind that you have to had the cartridges and the ink or the material to use ciss from the start. The printhead with the right ink(inktec) you will have a printer for a long time.
