I love these Hipshot Bass Extender Drop D Tuners. I one on 4 of my basses now and can't gig without them. I can't play a 5 string bass due to a hand/wrist injury and really only need Low D and Eb. They're easy to install and only require a little bit of adjusting. It work's perfect every time! Thank you Hipshot!

I have one on all of my basses. This one I bought for my latest love, a 2012 Fender select P-bass. If you play in a band (or bands) that swaps from standard tuning to drop tuning from one song to the next, these thing are worth their weight in gold. Hell if your sitting in your bedroom playing along with your computer to songs with standard and drop tuning the next song once you tune the both ends of the extender just flick the "lever" and BAM you are there. It doesn't get easier than that.

This is a great alternative to a five string. You don't get all the way down to a low B however dropping to a D gives your bass that little something extra. Super easy to install. I did it myself in about 10 minutes.

I needed to have a luthier install it, there are 2 small posts that must be drilled out to fit onto the back ot the neck. But it works great!

It’s a shame because it isn’t the less expensive tuner, the chrome color seems more like nickel to me and I just don’t like how it looks, it arrived with some little stains at the clover that were impossible to remove, beside that, works perfectly and fits perfectly to, I recommend it for those whom aren’t thinking on matching the current tuners on the bass
