This is my second Dewalt DCN692N this one being the third generation model. This week since receiving the gun it has had several thousand nails through it both 70mm and 90mm without a single problem of jammed nails. The thumb wheel depth adjustment allows the nails to be delivered to your preferred depth. Quick and easy loading of nails. If you already use Dewalt products you will know that the build quality and reliability is outstanding and will give you many years of service. First impressions of this gun are outstanding. I can’t yet comment on the longevity of this particular gun but my previous Dewalt nail gun is over five years old has been used extensively over that time and working as from new. So I am assuming this new improved version will do so also. I use 5amp battery packs which I would recommend and it’s unusable to swap to new battery in a working day. If you already use Dewalt equipment and have the charger and battery the bare unit offers a great product at a great price. Powertoolmate offered the best price at the time and a well packaged and quick delivery.Read full review

Most of my tools are Dewalt. I bought this thinking I cannot go wrong with a Dewalt nailer. How wrong I was. Worked fairly well for about 20 or so nails, then started to jam and only put nails in about 3/4 the way. I tried the jam release level on the top, worked for one in three times. As I used the nailer more the problems increased tenfold. Jammed up every one or two times and had to undo the mech with the provided allen key, five mins later, fire jam undo with allen key, fir jam, undo with allen key, fire jam, undo and so on an on. then put back in box and sent back for my money back. Gone back to hammer and nails and battery screwdriver. Seriously = AVOID THIS RUBBISH PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS.

Paslode, hitachi, quicklode, used all these over the years , got 5 of them in shed, all with various faults, shied away from dewalt because the type 1 and 2 would jam on every knot, springs always going, but this type three seems the real deal, no jamming, bump mode is great, but heavy but you get used to it. No cleaning and no gas , and for £247 was a bargain.

Great gun works well apart from the belt hook isn't great, has fired about 2500 nails so far without issues except when I had it on the wrong speed and it jammed my fault. It is very heavy being honest and you will need a few battery's as it eats them All in I am a happy customer.

I have hankered after a nail gun for years but couldn’t justify the expenditure, that is until a fence needed urgent repairs. Listed as a framer/first fix gun, it’s been very useful, I use 50mm nails on lowest power setting and they absolutely blast into the 2x2 frames, through the feather board. I’m using a cheaper universal 34deg nail and not had any mis-feeds at all. The gun is the same high build quality as all my XR kit, very robust and feels good to hold and use. The auto lockout at approx 7 or less nails could be confusing but I read the manual and all was clearly explained. Although a big and heavy beast, the balance is good and it is comfortable to use at all angles and attitudes. The two fire modes are useful but the single fire mode can be frustrating as you have to commence each cycle with trigger released, which if you miss time it causes the gun not to spool up, so I recommend the multi fire mode. I shall register online with DeWalt, for their extended warranty. Read full review
