I've been a diyer for many years and can't resist collecting tools when I'm out ... I've been a diyer for many years and can't resist collecting tools when I'm out shopping . I picked up a set of forstner drills from a German owned supermarket. Their tools are normally very good and the best possible quality. That's why I was completely surprised at the set of forstner drills I opened in my workshop. They were so rough I had to finish of the cutting edge on a bench grinder. I managed to finish the job but they were losing their cutting edge all the time . This prompted me to look on Ebay for the ones I've just bought. I'm amazed at the quality, even the wooden box they came in would make a fine jewelry box with a bit of stain and varnish.
