Fitting can't be rushed, if you take care and make sure the hole you make is correct then it looks great. Some minor adjustments may be required to the rear fixings so the front cover is flush to the wall and locking mechanism is aligned. I could not be happier with the finished result, the perfect place for cash and other treasured items, looks just like another wall socket. I would highly recommend it.

Its not very good the switches on the false plug are lose which kind of makes it obvious the body of the safe is made of steel but the drawer is made of plastic which isn't very good and since the false socket is only secured to that drawer with 2 very tiny flimsy screws it pretty much renders it useless as safe as it could easily be ripped open with very little effort so my advice don't bother it's just a cheap plastic novelty

Bought this for a present for a friend. It is a great product. It does require a certain level of diy competency to fit. This is because the vertical lock bolt must line up perfectly to the mortice. if the recess box is to far into the wall = will not lock if the recess box is to far out of the wall = you will see a gap between the face palte and the wall. Again - this is a fitting issue. The item it'sself is very beleivable, easy to use and good quality.

Got this little safe after being robbed - I know! Great little thing - sturdy and decent quality. The switches actually worked and more importantly, the screw holes actually looked like screw holes and you can put a plug into them too! Brilliant idea and my Dad got one too so we all have them now! A bit of work in knocking the wall out for the unit, but it was worth it for us as having some work done so ideal time to get them in place. Great idea and well made. Thanks.

Most safes I've seen for home use are either the bulky (and heavy) grey boxes which are a bit difficult to hide and whose delivery signals the intent to store objects of value in it; or the 'novelty' clock/heinz can/book safes. I don't diss any of them, each fulfis a specific purpose. However, this wall safe is well-camouflaged by the fact that houses usually have some two to three dozen power outlets of almost identical appearance and thus this safe wouldn't attract any attention. The inside space is good enough for money and jewelry but not much else, being constrained to conform to a double outlet size. That said, it's easy to install and nobody will 'accidentally' discover it, as might be the case with book/clock/can safes.
