Takes about 1 hour to fit the wheels and handle, and the saw to the 2 saw bases which attach to the stand. My saw is an LS 1011 - the 1st compound mitre saw Makita made (still going like new 30 yrs later) .It only has fixing holes on the front so I'm going to have to drill some holes in back of saw and make some L shaped brackets so it fits securely. Pros - Is well made and only takes 1 minute to setup. Its easy to move with its handles & wheels. Easy to store & transport as it folds away to nothing. Cons - the brackets that fit to the bottom of saw are fiddly to fit. I had to adjust the nut on the top so it would clamp down properly. Once fitted, it clips onto stand easily enough but is very fiddly to remove. Also I don't like that the brackets permanently fitted to bottom as it makes it unwieldy to move around, through doors etc & put in van. But I'd still buy the same stand again.Read full review

Was expecting better from Makita. Sliding the table on the rail and removing it is really, really awkward. It may work for smaller saws but the 12" that I got is heavy and the mechanism gets so tight it's hard to release it and even harder to put it back on. My mate owns a Milwaukee stand and the slide mechanism is a lot more functional. After taking it out of the box you have to assemble some of the parts. Which took me about an hour. It's not super annoying and I can see how Makita is saving billions on shipping by not attaching the handle. Just make sure you factor this in. Having said this, other manufacturers are probably the same. It still is a very decent stand. Especially, the wheels make it easy to move the saw around the site which was what made me buy it in the first place. I'd still probably buy the very same stand again if I had to but this is simply because of the wheels and how important it is for me to be able to move it often. If it wasn't for this, I'd probably buy a different brand.Read full review

I wanted a mitre saw stand that was functional and one that could be stored easily. I chose this because it looked good and had a decent brand name behind it. The stand was very easy to put together and there’s a feeling of robust components and everything just works extremely well. The stand feels very stable with the saw fitted and is still light enough to move around easily. I like the quick release system that allows the saw to be taken off and has its own feet to site on its own without having to detach anything. The stand can then have its legs folded back to leave a compact unit that also has wheels for easy transport. In use, the whole set up feels solid and very safe to use and I fully recommend it.

Great product, can’t believe I went so long without it. Built a huge loft conversion using the stand with my makita chop saw. Had no issues cutting 8x2 lengths to size with the standouts on both sides. Excellent purchase
