This item is ideal for our purposes - it looks good and is a useful and innovative item, dual-function which is helpful when you haven't got much storage space. It's solid (which is what you want in a set of steps) but that also means quite heavy (which should be borne in mind if you're not able to lift heavy items). Our only real complaint is the very confusing instructions/illustrations which don't seem to correspond to reality (there are no written instructions). In the end, we worked out how to use the item by trial and error (also making some more holes where these were missing though this would have been a minor issue with proper instructions).

For the price it is good. But there was no instruction, except for sketches that can be confused with other parts. Small missing parts screws. Because there was instruction it took me a long time to put it together and I didn’t know how the 2 pieces would match to be turn to chair and step ladder . Could not fix the 2 pieces to compliment each other.

The instructions are some of the worst I've ever come across. This is a flat pack kit. If you have no experience in flat pack assembly or joinery best avoid look elsewhere. It took me a good while to figure it out and build. The instructions are appalling and not the most vital details are shown. Some holes weren't big enough for the screws keepers, so I had to manually widen them (thanks drill). Also free delivery to the UK, except it's not. I live in NI in the UK, had to fork out £10 for postage. In the end though it looks great. If you enjoyed watching the Krypton Factor way back in the 80's and wanted a chance to do one of the puzzles, then this the chair for you!

You need to be patient with the DIY kit and careful to avoid cross-threading the screws. The instruction sheet could be clearer and you need to work out what you are doing rather than follow them literally. But the kit was complete and the components went together as intended to produce a small, sturdy chair-cum-library-steps. While it's not beautifuI it's not an eyesore either. I was so impressed by the value of the first one, I bought two more!

This is an excellent idea based on the old library steps. I found it heavy, but I am 80 years old and not as strong as I once was. The treads are certainly better for me than the small usual stepladder. In all satisfied with the chair as it does have two uses. Would recommend. Thank you.
