Very good quality easy to handle drill, bought as replacement for existing that had developed a fault in the chuck. Thus enabled to continue using batteries and charger. Only of use if old style batteries owned.

Having owned an Hitachi cordless drill/driver for several years and with the Ni-Cad batteries finally giving up the ghost, I decided to replace. I am pleased to have chosen Hitachi again and in particular the Li-ion battery version. The drill is lighter in weight than my previous model - this mainly due to the much lighter batteries, but the whole unit is much better balanced and has the advantage of a powerful hammer drill option, it has a higher torque action and the range of torque adjustment makes it impressively versatile. I can honestly say that having used it regularly for the past couple of weeks on all types of job from screwing/unscrewing to drilling various materials (i've not had to change the battery yet - amazing) I am extremely impressed and would thoroughly recommend this unit for both top end DIY and Professional use and am thankful for having made the decision to renew.Read full review
light in weight, easy to use, powerful, would certainly recommend it. You can use it for any type of work either at home or if you are a professional carpenter etc. great product.
Does what it says on the tin, I have all Hitachi power and battery tools and they are very good quality and value. This drill is no exception. After 47 years in the construction industry I still love Hitachi tools. I have have tried most of the popular makes, other Japanese and American products but Hitachi shines out for me.
I purchased this drill because it was at a price I could not refuse, I already own 2 Hitachi drills 1 mains HD/Chisel drill & 1 12v cordless I RATE THEM BOTH HIGHLY SO I THOGHT i would complete the set & I have no regrets it performs well, I would highly recommend this drill it is a smart bit of kit.
