I have Beats SoloHD already which I wear mainly for 'home' music listening, rather than for 'outdoor' wear, but wanted smaller more portable earphones for outdoors with my iPod when working out and jogging, standard earpods/in ear phones tend to move and slip out when jogging, so these were ideal, as they have flexible ear hooks which can be adjusted to any ear and hold in place with the added Beats quality sound. They also have decent length cable, so ideal if you have you iPod in your pocket or in an armband. The cable has control talk which allows easy basic music controls and accepting calls, all excellent and recommend, one downside is that the control talk part seems to have been an after thought in the whole design and my first impression after opening the great packaging was wow awesome earphones but control talk looks cheap and I expected it to be like the control talk on my soloHD's control talk :-( A design issue rather than quality product and sound, let's hope they withstand the riggers of exercise particularly at this price I expect them to last.Read full review
I would not buy these headphones at the full high street price but for 70 pounds there worth every penny. Sound is good and great for the gym so you don't get your wires caught on stuff when you doing dips and handy for skipping so you don't have your IPhone jumping up and down in your pocket.

I needed a pair of wired earphones for the gym and the Beats Powerbeats came to mind straight away. I already have a pair of Powerbeats2 wireless which sound much better obviously, but the Bluetooth keeps cutting out on them which is very off putting whilst working out. I liked the overall look and aesthetic appeal of the wired Powerbeats which is why I bought them. They feel like a quality product. The sound is good but not great. At 60% volume they are bass heavy which makes the mids and highs sound recessed, the vocals feel like they're in the background. Its only when you go pass 70% volume is when the mids and highs are more pronounced. The ear hooks are a great idea and keep the earphones in place but they don't keep them fitted in the ear groove securely as I find myself pushing them back in from time to time.Read full review
