The porcelain floor tiles to be cut were incredibly resilient compared to other porcelain tiles I used. This cutter did, however manage a 85% success rate with its cutting capability on the super hard tiles, 100% success rate on the "normal" porcelain tiles. Quality wise it is fairly good. That said the cutting disc was blunt after about twenty scoring stripes across the very hard porcelain tiles. Where it was very sadly lacking was the assembly of the components. Initially I had to re-set the square as it was cutting a ninety four degree right angle. Then after two or three cuts the rails actually pulled apart from the tile cutter bed. Whoever had assembled the cutter was very limp wristed as none of the components were done up properly. After re-assembly and proper tightening of the bolts the cutter was good to go and achieved the success rate as at above. Read full review

you need a lot of pressure to get the tile to break, praying that it breaks where you have set up the cut. I had 30% breakage on cutting, very disappointed. I finished the job with a wet tile cutter which I did not want to use as the cut finish is always chipped out but had no choice. I tried the titanium blade it was worse.

This review is not aimed at the supplier as they delivered very quickly, more at the manufacturer. Firstly the product came in pieces the runner was disassembled from main frame but I needed ASAP so I started to assemble , I thought maybe the item had been miss handled by the courier but no sign of damage on the packaging. So a 17mm spanner later I reattached the runner but after checking the slide bar found that hadn't been tightened either so a couple of cuts later to check alignment all was well . Then attached cheap plastic feet they fall of at the first use now glued on ! (should be rubber) . So all in all tile cutter worked well eventually , should've have sent back but needed . They advertised this as German engineering maybe a bit like British engineering it isn't what it once was sadly. Linden.Read full review

I bought this for my brother and I've been so impressed that I will purchase 1 for myself for ensuite project I have. It has done many cuts perfectly and still on it's 1st blade. The tiles used are 1cmx60cmx30cm porcelain and has made easy work of them. Great quality, strong and easy to use Have not found any down side

I’m glad my car wasn’t put together in the same factory, it does a good job, but check the stop is square to the frame, the rail block securing nuts are tight, it falls apart whilst your using it if you don’t, and the only other bit that fell off was the breaker bar....the cotter pin fell out! With all that in mind happy tiling!
