My caravan had been making such a noise from the Alko hitch it had been driving me mad. Replaced with these and it’s not totally silent. Wish I’d replaced them sooner. Make sure you give the tow ball a good clean as well and clean the hitch area with a good quality brake cleaner and you’ll not know the caravan is on the back.

Easy DIY job to fit - though the Alko instructions are weird. Best to find instruction video on YouTube. I dd not need the shims on the first fitting but I am keeping them for later when they will be needed to compensate for wear. The new plastic covers are much better than the ones fitted to the original Alko hitch. 15 minutes work (well, first I used one shim each side and had to take them out again, which added ten minutes). Great stuff and my stabiliser is working again.

Please note recommend new o-rings as well as old ones will probably be damaged or in poor condidtion when extracting the old pads. Fiddly putting new o-rings in place and recommend a smear of silicon grease on end of shafts of the new pads which will make fitting the new pads much easier. See also videos on web for replacing worn pads.
