I purchased this lava lamp out of nostalgia as I had an original back in the 70's. This is a very good lamp. It works as advertised and I would recommend it to my friends.

This is pretty good, takes over an hour for it to heat up. I would think the vintage ones would be higher quality maybe made in the USA . Better parts but this works good, no regrets

I had an antique lava light that was more expensive than this one. Compared to the antique one, this one is a little bit cloudy (purple), but at least it works as well as the antique one. Considering the price, it's a fair product. By the way, purple and pink combination was a bad choice; it hurts my eyes when watching long. More eye-friendly color would be better.

Got this for my granddaughter. She loves it.

The light is not what they used to be. This version takes over 2 hours to heat up and get the Lava flowing and when it does the flow is very slow. The design is flawed in the light bulb area, if it were designed to handle a 40 watt bulb it would be a much better product. Be aware of the bulb size when purchasing one of these lamps, anything less than 40 watts stay clear of it.
