Take care before cutting legs to size..
Don't cut the legs too short! I ended up bolting a step back to give a little extra height, else it wants to fold . Otherwise very good. A little steep angle to climb, but well made. Spend some time getting it to fit squarer and in line with ceiling.. Pleased with result. Going o buy and fit the optional hand rail.

a very good product in a limited space
space was limited in loft, and this gave me the desired fitment to existing loft opening, although i had to increase x 40mm, which was no problem being a carpenter. this was a smaller size, and i wished i found this when i was doing our own new extension , revamp. good product.

Just a hint,before fitment
very good quality, but no written instructions! DO NOT cut ladder down until you've adjusted drop bar to bring steps to an horizontal position. otherwise steps could be too steep and tilted down, this is not made clear on instruction sheets. Hope this saves someone having a disaster. Very happy with operation off unit, and makes the loft easier to access

Stairway to heaven
This was the only ladder that suited my attic beams, plus would have been awkward because of electrical cables and conduits. So my existing hatch was made smaller to suit . Took me about 3 hours in total by myself, including hatch. So much better than what I had ( Ramsay ladder ) you do have to get used to way it folds inwards when closing it up, but you should find a technique that suits. The ladder is sturdier than I thought it would be. The steps have a descent depth to them as well . nice ladder, easy to fit and requires little swing-out room ( i had 350mm and it was more than enough). metal stiles need cuttong to length but easy with a good hacksaw blade. only drawback is there is no handrail with it
