My old printer was on its last legs and I chose the Epson XP-640 from a Which recommendation. It does what Which says, and I am very satisfied with the printer as representing value for money. Setting up was pretty easy as the printer does most of the work for you, but is is a rather lengthy process - allow a couple of hours to get it set up and all the software/firmware downloaded. It is easy to use ,too and seems to print and copy very well. I would recommend it as a simple and relatively inexpensive printer.

Excellent printer. I am a silver surfer and even for me it was very easy to set up and use. Set up takes some 45 mins but easy steps to follow from the installation disc. Excellent print quality. Does not come with an Ethernet cable so you will need to purchase separately if you want to connect directly to your computer, as I have done This augments an Epson XP-700 which I have used continually for 6 years. It still works but a little blotchy if the ink cartridges are not cleaned. I stayed with Epson because of good usage from the 700.

The function I wanted was to be able to reduce/enlarge on the printer, not from a laptop or an app! The only (fault ?) I have is that of the delivery system ie sometimes it throws the the finished print at me together with a ' loud clunk'
