Lightweight makes it easy to fix in a number of ways. Used in a bitterly cold under stair cupboard I laid it over a few battens on the walls and tacked it to them to create an air gap between foil and wall. Didn't need to cover over it so if anyone looks in there they might think I'm growing herbs, but I love the shiny, techie look. Considerable improvement in the temperature now, about 4-5c when outside close to freezing. With the addition of a dehumidifier it is now a clothes drying room, much better than the tumble drier, and with shelving fitted back up a useful storage cupboard.

I've been using flexible sheet form insulation for 10 years. This bubble wrap is a good size being 1.2m wide and is good value for money. I don't think the material holding the gas in the bubbles is that strong so you do have to be quite careful installing it, to avoid damage to the structure. Also this would suggest that it is not intended to be used without a surface protection layer, unlike some products I've used before for insulating garage roofs.

I bought this to tape inside conservatory patio doors as a means of preventing heat build up due to strong sunshine. The product does have some effect but still gets quite warm which means that the silvered surface can only reflect a proportion of incident IR radiation. Nevertheless it is very inexpensive and does help to keep the conservatory cooler.
