I bought this unit a week ago and was not expecting the quality I received from it. Firstly I tried the DAB radio and was really pleased with the sound that I heard. I then tried the CD player and was amazed at hearing more from a cd then I have ever heard. Next, I tried the USB and put a USB stick into the unit and again was very pleased with the results. I then tried the AUX with a record deck, I put a record on and yet again amazed by the sound. Lastly, I tried the Bluetooth and use my mp3 player which also has Bluetooth and then played. It was really quick to pair up and worked really well. I have used in the past units from Amstrad to B&O and all others in between, but this JVC UX-DA27S has great sound and is well worth the money.

Mayby I had bad luck but I've bought it twice and two times something was wrong. First time cd didn't work properly secound time on first use 45min listening and it overhited. That was it no more for me I've tryed with that model jvc black stdreo and was problem with Bluetooth

Bought to replace an ailing 20 year old separates system. Great connection options. I have it connected to the TV with an optical cable and the sound is really clear. Bluetooth easy to set up. Haven't yet tried a record deck with it. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the sound at high volume is a little fuzzy. On the whole a great little HiFi which I would recommend. Update: Jul 2023 CD tray eject mechanism started playing up after 12 months, and with only light use. I got it repaired locally in May '23 at relatively low cost. I was informed by the repair business that the unis is in fact solid state circuitry and the "valves" are only for show. I haven't verified this elsewhere, but as the gentleman had 50+years experience in Hi-Fi manufacturing I reckon he knew his onions. The repair worked fine, however the "source" button then started to malfunction, so I could not play any music due to constant cycling between each source. So it was taken to the tip and replaced with much more reputably named product. Summary: A nice looking unit with good quality sound (not matched by the speakers). Poor build quality meant the product just didn't last as long as I would have reasonably expected. I will think carefully before I purchase another JVC product.Read full review

I had forgotten how good valve amps were.Many years ago I owned a Bush valve radio.To hear again such good sound of base & depth quality I wonder whether transistors are as good.With its connectability this hfi is the dogs whatsits.A bargain price as well.
