This is a specialist device for folk that want a lightweight computer. At 359g and a small HTC phone charger for mains, it blows away netbooks for weight. It is Windows mobile, so although there are 1000s of applications available, there is not the level of support that Windows XP/Vista enjoys. Screen is 5" and is ridiculously large for windows mobile. Luckily you can install the free realVGA to put the resolution up and get loads on screen. 8gb hard disk included, more reliable and faster the SSD memory. new version (x7510) has 16gb disc. Also MicroSDHC card socket. Has touch screen, joystick, volume buttons, normal headphone socket (hooray), SIM card slot and loads of useful button. Unique magnetic detachable keyboard means you can use it with real or on-screen keyboard. Very fast in operation. Office mobile and opera provided by default. Twin speakers mean that watching streamed video in quiet environments is fine. A great device. Probably not worth the £800 stand-alone cost, but certainly worth getting on a tmobile contract or on ebay for under £300. I look fwd to future HTC updates.Read full review
The phone itself is a very good piece of kit, with the removable keyboard makes it a contender with smaller laptop units. The software on the phone is excellent, the office functions are very useful. The screen size being 5" and touchscreen makes all the difference.
its big its bulky its heavy, but MY GOD IS IT GOOD! i could talk all day bout its ups, its that good it doesnt need a review just look at the specs & think yeah 5"!
Great item for all those with large fingers...NOT the most recent technology, but perfect for word editing, texting, messaging etc.
