I bought this heater so that I could continue my hobby f making wood model cars/lorries. It works well but it is a slow starter after that the thermostat is easy to set and the air flow is good and not noisy It makes a work space very usable with a good temperature control. Eric

I bought this to give me a quick method of heating my workshop. Unfortunately it proved to be a failure. The element gives out very little heat on full power and the draught from the fan is undetectable at under 1 metres distance. In reality, it is no better than the domestic fan heater it replaced. At best it is useful for drying the damp air. The only redeeming feature is the build quality. I looks like it will stand up to some knocks and scrapes, but for a powerful heater? Look elsewhere.

It takes a while for the elements to get warm (they're much thicker than on a domestic heater), and the airflow is fast, so the heat is spread out over more air than with a smaller heater, so it doesn't feel as hot to be in the airflow as a domestic heater, but it heats the room / workshop very effectively once it gets going. The fan motor is much more powerful than the pictures in this item page show; my power meter showed 450 watts!

Smart looking heater bought to heat the garage and log cabin during the winter. It takes a time to warm up but works well.

Was looking for a cheap solution to heat up my garage for spraying the car. Didn't want to spend a lot of money either. This fitted the bill nicely. Was a bit worried it won't be powerful enough. But fear not.! IT DOES take a little time for it to warm up. I would say at least 5 min to reach proper heat production. But once it does, it will blow hot air a moderate pace. It was enough to heat up outside space of about 14sqm, from ambient 15 to nice 27ish. Considering my garage had only has 3 walls and plastic sheeting on one side, I thing that's good value for money! May not be the most powerful but for £30odd quid you really can't go wrong. And it's pretty as well ;)
