This design is one of First Act's best! The strings run in a straight line from the tailpiece to the tuners, which helps keep it in tune. The stock pick-ups are excellent for covering a huge range of tones. From clean to crunchy, these later model First Act electric guitars cover it. There may be a few fret ends to file, screws to swap out or tighten. But all in all, the First Act line provides great bang for the used market buck. Sometimes, I upgrade the volume and/or tone controls (pots) and the capacitor. Otherwise, a little adjustment and that's it. I play in a band and use First Act's for everything electric. Not too heavy and it hangs from the strap just right. Balanced. I have two of these, ME 1972's and use them constantly.
