Quidam is one of the best Cirque du Soleil productions and this DVD gives a first class view of a live performance. The chief character is a girl (beautiful singer) whose parents seem engrossed in themselves and unaware of their daughter. A mysterious headless visitor leaves her a magic hat that allows her to encounter many strange and wonderful performers, including the multi talented John Gilkey. As usual the acts are all superb and the music entrancing. Eventually the parents learn to unwind and take part in the great finale.

If you love Cirque Du Soleil, then Quidam will not disappoint, the artists and their costumes are amazing. With this DVD you also get a documentary, on how the Cirque started, which is very interesting.
This is one of the best Cirque shows I've seen, and I have just about all of them on DVD. The acts are all incredible, with my personal favourite being the clowns who are hillarious throughout! Overall, well worth watching for anyone who likes the circus!
I bought this DVD because I went to see this fantastic circus performance when they visited Copenhagen a couple of years ago. Thay are still in my opinion the best alternative circus in the world and I have rated the DVD good but not excellent because it can never be the same seeing it on DVD comparing to watching it live.
