Nice little vacuum for quick clean ups before guest arrive, dry spills or between cleanings. This is a very versatile cordless vacuum with the option of beater brush cleaning that works on carpet, tile, hard wood floors and a hand vacuum for the house, furniture, and car. This vacuum is not meant for totally cleaning your house and as I stated before it is for quick clean ups and dry spills only. Do not buy if you are wanting something to vacuum the entire house. I have found it useful in vacuuming up dry spills like sugar, bird seed, around the cat food dish, litter box, cat hair, tracked in debris, etc. The dust collection container has a small capacity so it must be cleaned out often for maximum suction. I have also noticed if I vacuum up larger things like small bits of paper, leaves, or plastic bits it can get stuck in the small hose area between the beater brush and collection container but it does have easy locks on ether side of the beater brush that allows you to get at the clog and if it further in, there is a screw you can remove under the hose area that will allow you to disconnect the hose from the head to get at it if it is in the hose. The easy snap off hand held is nice for dust busting, removing debris out of the car, and furniture. The charger unit has blue lights on ether side so it is like having a night light in my laundry room. Over all I have enjoyed having it and it has made my house cleaner between cleanings. I Have noticed peoples negative comments about this vacuum because it will not pick up their English Sheep Dogs hair or clean their 2500 square foot house but this is NOT what it is meant to do. This vacuum would also be good for the dorm room, guest houses, RV's or efficiency apartments. I also have to note that the name Electrolux is not the same brand that people used to buy from the sales man that knocked on the door, It is now owed by Eureka. So, the over all quality is not what Electrolux is known for but it is well built. If you buy this vacuum just know you are buying a Eureka not the same Electrolux your grandmother bought.Read full review
I bought the Electrolux EL1000A2 Pronto Bagless for quick easy kitchen floor crumb cleanups. I liked the compact size, swivel head and detachable "hand vac" features. Overall, the pick-up is good, but not for large jobs. The "tank" needs to be emptied frequently for maximum suction capabilities and my "beater bar" needs removal and cleaning often, due to my long blonde hair being caught up in it. Upside to that is the quick and easy removal and cleaning of beater bar! Great design there! Overall I'd rate it good, especially for those with "little ones" and little messes and great for "quick clean-ups."
I love the whole concept and the Electrolux brand sealed the deal.I own a regular electrolux system and it is great, so I expected nothing but great from the Pronto. Husband wanted a handheld vac but we have tried many over the yrs and gave up on them. My kids like to help as well as clean up their mess so I feel comfortable with them using this since it can't suck up too many other items and I can see what is in there in case they accidentally suck up other items they should not have! (it's happened many times). Although lightweight it is heavy enough to have some weight behind it too. Feels very sturdy and durable. KID FRIENDLY!!! I agree - is better on hard surfaces and for light jobs
This "stick" vaccuum is wonderful! So handy, light weight & convenient. It cleans really well. I like that the head swivels to get into tight places & has a beater brush to help pick up stubborn items. It even gets up the "splinters" around our wood stove. It easily transitions from carpet to hard floors. Then if I can't reach you just pop out the hand vac. Easy to empty dirt compartment & stores on it's charging stand. It has lots of power & holds it's charge well. Doesn't give out before I'm done cleaning. I wish I would have had one of these years ago!! I will never be without one again! A++++++
I like the fact that it is rechargeable, no cords to drag around. I like the little hand held vacuum that disengages from the main vacuum for getting into smaller areas. I have a frame shop and I use it at work. The shop has large tiles floors, this vacuum does well on picking up sawdust and light objects, but anything heavier than a leaf... just bend over and get it yourself! I use it daily, but just wish it were a tad more powerful. Sometimes it does a great job on the surface of the tiles, but misses what's in the grout areas. However, for the money, for the lightweight, for the portability, it's worth the purchase price.
