Really Excellent DVD's. I really looked forward to watching The Incredible Hulk as a kid in the late seventies, (1978 I think) and even now as an adult I still enjoy the series. It brings back fond memories. Fully satisfied 100 per cent.

With the above line spoken by Doctor David(Bruce)Banner, so began a classic television show. Wisely concentrating on Banner`s problems than the Hulk, this wonderful show gave us a neat twist on the classic `Fugitive` on the run. Bill Bixby, surely one of the most underated actors of the 60`s and 70`s(now sadly passed on) gives often heart wrenching performances of Banner`s struggle to keep calm. Wisely choosing Lou Feringno over a much smaller bug just as muscular Arnie as the Hulk, this charactor was kept to the bare minimum of screen time and the show was all the better for it. If you want superhero tales of the bang, crash, wallop type then watch Batman(a fantastic fun show in it`s self) but if you want to watch well thought out family drama, with a little bit of bang ! then this show is for you. And who can forget that haunting end theme as Banner seeks a lift to another fateful town on his journey to quell the beast within........ To paraphrase the Joker "where does he get those wonderful shirts.....?" !Read full review
What a nostalgia trip! - I bought the complete series 1 of the hulk out of curiosity, I wanted to see how it measured up to my childhood memory of the big guy. I wasn't dissapointed! With the pilot movie and subsequent episodes the childhood memories come flooding back! Its a lot of fun and even the dodgy special effects are forgivable thanks to the brilliant acting of Bill Bixby in the role of Dr David Banner. The show is high camp, kitch but must importantly good old fashioned entertainment. Bill Baxby plays it for real, its not 'tongue in cheek' and for 60 mins you are reminded why 70s-80s kids TV was the best! Kids today will also love the original and the best 'Incredible Hulk'.
