This tent is lightweight and very easy to erect. I am a 5ft tall female and can put it up by myself in about 15 minutes without any difficulty. For three of us there was ample space for sleeping and storage. The height made it feel spacious and not cramped. We enjoyed our holiday in it. We pitched in a fairly sheltered spot and in dry, sunny weather it was perfect. It seemed to do fine with an odd shower or two and the first thunder storm didn't seem to do anything drastic. It did flap about a bit in moderate gusts but remained standing. The problem came when we had sustained and heavy rainfall for a day. Sadly leaks appeared where the groundsheet joined the tent in some places and a bit on the other horizontal seams. Also the rain started to seep through the fabric after a few hours. Luckily it ran down the inside of the fabric rather than dripping on to us so it was mainly a case of mopping up around the edges. I had put a tent carpet and lightweight groundsheet and picnic rugs on the floor inside as well as a groundsheet underneath the tent. Despite this I discovered a puddle under the inside groundsheet near the door after heavy rain. It may have done a bit better if the natural drainage on the pitch had been better. It is a fab looking tent and so easy to use that I will be waterproofing it and resealing the seams and trying again. We had a great week in it and did manage to stay dry despite the weather. Skandika really should modify the design to a bathtub groundsheet as that would have reduced the leaks significantly. Ideally this tent is suited for sheltered pitches in fair weather but with the right precautions the rain needn't flood it out! Not sure I'd want to pitch it on a wet and windy hillside though...Read full review

Having read the previous reviews on amazon and eBay I took the plunge and also purchased a waterproof solution fabsil. Due to unforeseen conditions on our first camping trip, a calm and pleasant week of winds no more than 15km phr we saw 80km winds and heavy rain. This did not help give the impression of fun camping for the family. We had to abandon ship, to the ship hotel in aberdaron, wales and leave our holiday early. The ground sheet had water seepage and the stitching around the corners in parts had let a small cupful of rain in. The fabsil protection I applied seems to work well. The main issue with the tent was the flapping in windy conditions, even with it pegged tight. The flapping was the main issue, maybe a heavier fabric would be better served with a second layer. It might be ok for locations that are not exposed or when you know it will be a calm week. It is easy to put up and easy to pack away. I took pictures as I unfolded it so I knew the best way to roll it back into the bag. So the stand out feature is, ease to erect and pack, with the second best is room. 4/10 my verdict Average to poor overall. The tent will be used for garden fun and events instead.Read full review

A good size and easy to set up. Lovely looking tent. It was up for over a week and stayed in position. It’s not really waterproof though and due to it not being double skinned the condensation causes a problem also. We used for a couple of days in the garden and was good for the kids but I couldn’t imagine proper camping in it unless weather was guaranteed perfect which you don’t get in the UK.
