This mains operated floor standing reading lamp is exactly what I need for my flat which has poor daylight. It is of good quality and gives a bright, useful light and is very good value for money. Those are the good points. It has two bad points: firstly, being packed in four sections, it is quite difficult to assemble because the screw threads are very poorly cut and this is aggravated by the difficulty of handling such a long item. Secondly, for a lamp, it has a miserable length of lead. Although I could test it, I was unable to use it as I wanted without lengthening the lead. Subject to those two caveats which have now overcome, I am happy to recommend it.

A really good light. You need someone with a strong arm to build this. Like the fact it has two levels of light. Just hope this led lamp lasts longer than my previous fluorescent similar looking.

I can't comment really in value for money as it will depend how long it lasts, but it's a great lamp for knitting and sewing under. ETA: Having owned this for a year, one side of the switch has stopped working. The lamp is still totally useable at the moment, but it does make me wonder about the quality and whether the LED's will last a satisfactory length of time. Something to consider if you want something with longevity.

A good reading light which was easy to assemble - would be even better if it was a couple of inches taller
