Once you have developed the technique of extending this ladder, life gets easier. The problem comes when you want to extend the ladder to its full 5m. The weight of the ladder making this difficult. Great diy ladder for occasional use at 5m, quality of the ladder is good. Great value...recommended

Enclosed instructions state that the stabiliser bar must be fitted before use but there are rivets across the slot for the bar so it is impossible to fit the bar into place. The rungs are very narrow & are ridged on the top when it is in A-frame mode, there are no ridges on the other side of the rung so when it is in the long ladder mode only one half of the ladder has rungs which are ridged, the rest are very smooth. The instructions state that there is a red button to be depressed but there is no red button but I could see what it probably referred to.

It is awkward to extend and collapse, in particular closing it down when it has been used as a self supporting step ladder could result in injury to fingers/hands. This is because you have to close down one step each side individually, and you have to push downwards and release the two catches on each step at the same time in order to achieve this. It is for that reason I would only recommend it for occasional use. Clearly it can also be carried in a family car where a conventional ladder would prove difficult, and this is useful when thinking of small maintenance jobs at the homes of family and friends.

These are a fantastic set of ladders, sturdy and well made, the only thing I would say is that any like this that say " lightweight" is incorrect, they are very heavy. Given that I am a window cleaner on foot I had to purchase a hand cart to pull the ladders. However they are damn good.

Nice and compact but heavier than I expected. At full extension the ladders felt rather wobbly, so you need to gain some confidence before you tackle any job at full extension. Overal though I'm glad I bought them
