To add to the good lead i received from previous reviewer's experience- i bought and assembled GFS/XGP telecaster body etc. And this was a necessary purchase. The sizing of route and string through pattern on "vintage" bodies requires a "vintage" bridge otherwise. I like the "modern style" bridge on tele's because i do a lot of palm muting and finger pickin, and those hipster jawns just get in the way. As cool as the 3 saddle brass vintage bridges look, after much experimentation; i have concluded it's really an inconvenience in favor of aesthetic. And because this is the high that dollars chase currently- i will weigh in to relieve more level-headed players- that you are not stuck deferring to that limitation. As others have alluded to as well; but your wood screws. Not included here. But! it fits perfectly and plays even better. Saddles are smooth. Well machined. Solid. If u have a vintage body and dont have drill presses and advanced build knowledge- this solves that and you can play on it easily. Not just chase that look that people constantly and falsely equate to sound or tone. Skip the chase and play better.Read full review

Doesn't come with mounting hardware. The listing should state this. I've literally bought hundreds of parts and never seen one that doesn't come with requisite hardware. It's fine, just annoying. A more detailed listing would be preferred. It seems solid and well-made, but I have not installed it yet (due to lack of hardware) so we shall see.

I put this on a Xaviere/Guitar Fetish Telecaster style because I wanted it to be properly intonated. The stock bridge has the same problem as any three barrel bridge in that you can get close (especially with the third and fourth strings), but can never be truly intonated. I had a Wilkinson bridge with compensated three barrel bridge, but it has the same problem. The Fender bridge fit well, although some of the string holes didn't quite line up. I had to drill them out a bit, but now this guitar is in tune and plays great. This was a good buy that did what I needed.

I make guitars from the rough plank to the finished product, so I can't say whether this will work as a drop-in replacement on a factory guitar. BUT after using at least 20 of these, I can tell you they are fine quality; they fit a variety of pickups (Seymour Duncan, Calig, Buddha, and imports), the saddles operate smoothly, and the finish is durable, not cheap. Heavy duty for lots of sustain, especially if coupled to a tone bar on the back instead of ferrules.

I bought this bridge after fighting intonation issues on a vintage style 3 saddle bridge. I just was not happy with dealing with tempered tuning on the D and G strings. I decided on this bridge and I was amazed at how quickly and easily it remedied the issue. I will use this bridge on all of my Telecaster guitars in the future. The sound is indistinguishable to my ear and the bridge looks great. A definite win-win.
