I have used a Rotatrim unit at work for many years but needed a new trimmer for my personal business. Dahle has a good reputation with regards to cutting equipment so I purchased this without hesitation. First impressions were that it didn’t seem as solidly built as I’d have expected an A2 trimmer to be. But overall was happy with it. I ran a couple of A4 sheets though to test out the action, that seemed to work ok. But on using it properly for the first time, the blade wheel jumped out of its track and the whole carriage jammed on the plastic guard. This also dragged a piece of finished artwork into the blade and crumpled it. Is there a known issue with this happening on these trimmers? Or could it be because I bought a pre-owned item that has been misused?
