pros I thought for the price i would give it a go. Pipe is made of plastic like the external filters. It's quite heavy for what it is. Put in the water as per instructions and i was very surprised with the power of the thing saying it has to lift over 2ft in my tank. It cleans as good as anything i have used before. It cleaned the sand in my 600ltr with ease. Cons Little cleaning bag is to small and ripped within minutes of using. Pipe is cheap rubbish. I wanted something i could use without having to clean my sand with siphon pipes leading out of the tank. So with an easy fix of a stocking for a bag it works a treat taking the muck out and leaving the water in the tank. You can't go wrong for the price. How long will it last we will see.

I bought this mainly to try and get rid of seed shrimp. It's a little bit cumbersome to get going and to make sure the water goes back in the tank. The mesh filter bag is pretty rubbish, I tried cleaning gravel and lots of much went back into tank as it has some bigger holes in to let the water out which isn't ideal. Good level of suction once running. Could be a lot better and may end up having some modifications done by me

Could not get it to work out two AA batteries in like it said and they rattle round, managed to turn on but very little suction, tried a different type and the same, then brought a power supply and still won't suck anything. Now in the bin

Far too weak to be useful. The need to "prime" it by putting the main part into the water is bad enough, but even with that it can't raise anything and the flow rate is laughable

Great little piece of kit really helps clean the gravel out. Haven't used as a syphon yet so no comment on that. Little difficult to get started I had to lean the bag side into the tank and cover one of the holes below the handle to get it started but once going did the job well
