A very simple to use recorder that is fully compatable with any DVD+RW player so that your designed menu is shown fully. Other recorders are only fully compatable with that model itself. I have tried to play recorded discs from our flashy Panasonic deck on other so called compatable DVD players but the entire menu is missing, it just plays only. But this model does have a common problem in recognising a disk once it has had some use. As the price of these recorders can now be picked up for around £10, just buy another till the same problem arises. Not even worth repairing, cheaper to buy another as long it is in working order to begin with. You can't name the tracks but you can select a picture from a scene or program to remind you of it better manually. Shame it only shows three icons at a time, then you have to scroll down, but no big deal really.Read full review

Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format, it really does the battle scene great justice; coupled with surround sound, you'll be gripped by the amazing cinematography. I would recommend the director's cut that includes scenes about the relationship between the lead character and his estranged wife and helps you to understand the motivation behind his decision. The run time is 183 minutes for the directors cut and 120 minutes for the cinema version. I was, however, disappointed by the lack of extras, which any fan of this classic would expect to be included. There's only a 20-minute interview with the director and other shot "making-of" vignettes.
i like having ability to record a program if i need to go out or its on late the dvd side is a bit tempermental plays most if not 1st time it eventually reads it great buy.
I'm not happy with dvd as it is not working. I was looking forward to recorder but not working at all.
