Assembly is a breeze with nice hex screws and full instructions. Good quality overall, although the height adjustment mechanism is a bit wobbly and could be better. Generally it's good value for money. Unwanted feature - two of the castors wheel have a locking mechanism that repeatedly put themselves into the locked position in normal use. Worst of all for me is the foam padding is too thin for me and I find it incredibly uncomfortable to sit on or rest my knees on, but that might just be me as I am now old and my flesh is thinner than it used to be. That said, this is the only one of this type of chair I've ever tried so I don't know if this is normal. To be on the safe side I would recommend this for a younger person with a firmer physique.

I know this is a low price items but you expect it to work, at least for a while. The castors are poor quality. The wheels come off. You cannot remove the castors to use the chair without them. I would not buy it until the announce they have changed the castors.

I read a lot of reviews of this and other similar stools. There were many reviews of the cheaper stools talking about how shabby they were. I was very pleasantly surprised by this chair and I’m really glad I didn’t spend more. It took about 10 minutes to put together and it is a really solid sturdy piece of kit. Many reviews of other stools talked about the weak and crappy castors. These seem fine. Having said that I’m not that heavy. I’ve been using it for 3 days and I think it’s fantastic. I’m trying it because I have a very painful shoulder caused by too much sitting at desks staring at screens. I have to say my shoulder has been the best it’s been over the last few days. Admittedly I have increased my exercises too but this stool must be playing it’s part. It takes a bit of time to get used to and my shins were sore the first day but I think that was more because I had shorts on. I’ve been very comfortable the last day or so. No sore shins. You have to spend a while getting the seat at the right height. If you have it too high it was putting too much pressure on my knees/shins. I seem to have the right height now. I really couldn’t be happier. A really good value piece of kit and it looks like it might have solved, or helped to solve my particular issue. Other people have said they can’t sit on them all day but I’ve been fine with all the usual breaks and getting up to move around. If this has solved my shoulder problem it will be much greater value than the hundreds I’ve spent with physios over the last year.Read full review

Perfect back support for long stints on the computer. Even using it as a stool is great. A couple of the bolts were hard to get in but once I worked out you could remove the ends I had that fixed.

Disappointed that there were no instructions / guidelines on how to use - re height of seat for effective comfort. Trialling with seat high and low resulted in pain in my knees / thighs.
