My Atlas 210X tranceiver with multiple rotary switches was pretty flaky and was much improved by using the DeoxIT. I will keep some on hand just for this type of use.

Might be great with only metal on metal but guess what... Works horrible with plastic and all my electrical connections are surrounded with plastic. Don't have a single switch that isn't molded into plastic. Stick to WD40. This Item never evaporates! Just sticks around, and I do mean sticks around. Not an expert on this product but might work with metal on metal without plastic in the picture. Can't say because 2dayInAge all switches/devices are molded in plastic. Does not work with contacts or switches with plastic bodies. Just by my experience am saying. Tried it on three different switches all were failures. Am not expert am just practical.

I have used DeoxIT for years. Having all three products is great since I moved to the Gulf Coast with the salt air. This has saved me lots of money to be able to clean my automotive switches and other contacts on the cars. Just one cleaning of my Lexus LS430's driver side master window/door lock switch assembly saved me hundreds of dollars in a replacement switch assembly. All switches have been cleaned now and function good as new. This stuff is great and works on all kinds of electrical devices. I have used this on everything from flashlights to iPhone cable ends. There are very few products not there that really work as the manufacturer says, this is one of them that works great.

DeoxIT worked really well on my old Heathkit SB-301. It didn't dissolve the carbon build-up on my switches visibly, but the switches stopped sounding scratchy and made good contact after applying DeoxIT.
