  • Fictitious time travel novel, based on real history.

This book was in fairly good condition considering it was published over 25 years ago. The story is a great read. (Now being made into a TV program - shown on Amazon Prime in the UK, called Outlander) well worth reading, if you haven’t already done so!

  • A Big Read but well worth the effort.

A BIG read. A book that is historically accurate, for a change. Strong likeable characters, complex plots, compelling story arcs, but not for the faint hearted reader. Worth every hour spent devouring the quality writing. First read gives the story outline but re reads provide clues and greater depth to characters and their motivation. Stick with it and the journey will take you on an amazing journey.

  • Original UK edition of ‘Outlander ‘

I’ve collected the entire series of 1st/1st, and figured that it really wasn’t complete w/o this.

  • Exciting, Wonderful, it WILL keep you coming back for more - always!!!!

This book is superb. I am not usually one to read this sort of book, but I bought it years ago when it was first published, as it was highly recommended by a magazine I had read. It proved to be far and away the best decision I had made in years. It is just compelling, you cannot put it down, it captures the imagination, runs riot and keeps you coming back for more. If you have not read it, do so. I am not going to give the storyline away or that would spoil to for new readers, but if you love adventure, romance, Scottish history and tartan, then this book, the beginning of the epic tale of Jamie and Claire Fraser is an absolute must. I have read this so many times, I have worn my first copy out! Buy it and love it it will be the best thing you have done in years. And then, of course, the ...
