700 quid is still a big chunk for a tv, especially as you can get a decent 50 inch HD TV for half that. Although this is a 4k tv, with 3d, 4 hdmi ports, 3 usb ports, screen mirroring, wifi built in, multiple apps, etc, etc. The list can really go on and on with this one as it is the next to the top of the range one from Panasonic. It does so many more handy things, with added advantages many others lack that for this price it was an easy choice. The picture quality is very good, and a quick play with the 4k beta stuff on bbc I player makes you believe that you are sat in a boat on the very river where Mr Attenborough 's camera crew were as they filmed; yes, it's that good. The sound quality is also decent from the separate soundbas looking unit, but we use the Panasonic soundbox for most watching, except when using Mirroring. The stand is a little bit of a marmite type of thing, and my good lady is on the hate - it side, but as we plan to eventually hang the tv on the wall she's got used to it. Overall, if you can get a Panasonic Outlet one for £250 under the brand new price, then do it.Read full review

This tv is very impressive, I was umming and erring about getting a new tv and I was struggling to find a tv that had all I wanted on it. I really liked the 902 series from Panasonic and then quickly changed my mind after looking at prices even this set was a bit much new until I found it from Panasonic outlet and what a bargin. I ordered this tv and it come exactly a week later by a two man delivery team who not only brought it in but unpacked it so I could inspect before they left, I did however turn it on as soon as they had left just in case. Firstly I took it off its stand (sorry didn't like it at all, it's a marmite thing as an interview with a Panasonic rep suggested) and mounted it on a tv stand with bracket (cantilever) which looks a lot better. Turned the tv on I was greeted rather rapidly by Firefox taking me through the setup procedure which is very simple, in fact nothing about this tv is difficult. Now I wasn't a big fan of the picture in standard definition format but when I went into an HD channel, it was an understatement. I thought this tv would deliver a truly amazing picture, so after going through the settings and just seem to get it in more of a mess I searched the net and put in AVforums settings ( not allowed to add a link so just search model number and avforums), now after that I was truly taken aback, so obviously the next was to stick on the bluray player and try something on in full HD, this really keeps getting better and better, so had to try UltraHD and even though it puts the backlight and contrast to max (auto setting for ultrahd) it was fantastic (and now writing this Ive just realised I haven't tried the 3D out yet doh!). As I've said before the tv starts up quick and delivers a very good picture, but what about the sound, I currently have a Panasonic sound bar and wireless subwoofer which has had the neighbours complaining on several occasions and I like it the bass is clear and powerful and the mid to tweeters are clear and nothing distorts, so now this tv comes with its own sound bar, well I'll give it a go but I'll probably stick with what I already have and put this new sound bar in the loft. Now it's not as bassey as my current sound bar but it's very good and clear so much do that I'm going to stick with it as it's good enough for films and music, you won't be disappointed. The remote is pretty much the same as most Panasonic remotes with the layout easy to navigate but it is made out of metal so it's s little heavier than most plastic ones, the second remote you can talk to and use the touch pad I haven't used at all, maybe one day when I'm bored I'll have a play with it Overall I'm happy with it and as others have said the wire from the sound bar to the tv could be a little longer and your stuck with it as it's a dedicated port and the wire is hard wired into the sound bar.Read full review

Great picture out of the box and superb picture after inputting AVforums settings for satellite box and Digital Foundry settings for HDR gaming (Google the model name with those above!). Don't let the stand put you off as it can be removed. This is a killer price for a serious 4k piece of kit. HIGHLY recommended
