Actually bought this for my German Shepherd. I've made sure it's on a very flat stable base as he's got claws but other than that it's great. It's a good size and it's good quality. He bounces around in it as well as just lying in it and there's no signs of damage so far. I think it's going to last and even if it doesn't it's a better purchase then a doggy pool. It's bigger and cheaper. I've bought almost every brand and they don't last or they're far too small. And a lot dearer. Would definately be a good purchase for children but it's a great purchase for anyone with a water loving dog! Easy to assemble and sturdy. I'm pleased I took a chance on this. I think the manufacturer should look at doggy pools. They'd make a fortune from us dog lovers!

Fairly easy to assemble the frame work. Did find half the plastic locking toggles were ill fitting so left them off. Reasonable size suited for under 5s

The paddling pool comes with a frame made of metal and plastic which holds the pool in shape. This is different from most I have seen which are inflatable, and therefore need an air-pump and a way of powering it where the pool is to be set up. This would be a significant expense and hassle and would need to be arranged in advance. Therefore this pool, which can be set up with no extra tools is a big advantage. It was a bit tricky to slide the side rods into the pockets provided in the pool. On one rod the foam padding rucked up inside the pocket and I was only able to free it up by cutting a hole in the pocket, but after overcoming that difficulty the pool was set up and works fine. I use this pool as a film prop rather than for its intended purpose, but it has worked well and I am very pleased with my purchase.Read full review

This is exactly what we wanted. It was a bit of a fiddle to assemble the first time, but once the poles are in, you can just leave them in, remove the corner pieces and roll the pool up, and then it is very neat to store and very quick to assemble when you want it. It's not as small as it looks and it's perfect for our little garden. I wondered if I should have bought the 5 foot diameter round version, but I did the calculation and this one is actually bigger in area, and definitely simpler to put up, as it only has 4 sides and 4 feet rather than multiple short edges with their own feet. It's strong enough to fill right up to the top, so it can be quite deep if you want it, and it stays up reliably, which is more than you could say about the panel-sided pools and fast-set pools we had before. The pool material is very thick and strong, and with the metal poles it looks like it will last for a good long time if it's dried out well after use. The only ways you could improve it are to improve the instructions (they make no sense at all), and to include a bag to store it in with the poles installed. The box is not long enough for that. We're keeping ours in a bag that belongs to a folding camping chair.Read full review

This pool is much stronger and appears to be more durable than I had expected. I bought it for my dog to splosh around in during the recent hot spell and it stood up to the task well. It is a smart looking pool that doesn't tip over and when empty it is easy to manoeuvre. I put it together on my own and although there are no written instructions or parts codes, I worked it out quite easily. Some of the connectors were hard to push together and some of the push pins didn't spring back but even so it holds together well. It took me about 1 hour to put it together on my own.
