VonShef.. Mr Chef in English. Odd name for a seriously useful bit of kit. Good. * Powerful motor.... Really powerful motor.. It consumes more watts than my vacuum cleaner. It will churn bread dough at slow speed without stalling... VERY impressive. * Capable. It does a wide range of tasks, more than the user guide suggests. * Stable. It has suckers as part of the feet. Really like this as it holds the device steady when we're churning large food loads. * Loads of accessories. * The safety interlocks are good.. Which is essential.... There's plenty of power to chop off fingers. * The blender is incredible. It's decently large and reduces anything to liquid inside three seconds... See notes above about the vulnerability of fingers.. Not so good. * Don't like the matt finish. I accept others would. It's a good match for our kitchen but I have a feeling that the finish will age quite quickly. Every finger and grease mark shows. * The user guide undersells what the device is capable of. It's six pages of A5 with useful photographs. If you're a competent imaginative chef you'll love this processor, if you limit you. self to what the user guide says you could be disappointed. * It's large, bigger than the dimensions suggest. It's absolutely not a problem especially with that huge motor. If you have a smallish kitchen you may become overwhelmed, the processor (and accessories) do take up a bit of worktop or cupboard space. * The mouldings of the plastics for the accessories have lots of nooks and crannies, they require an effort to clean properly. Bad * Nothing.. Really pleased with the purchase and have no issue with recommendation if you need a powerful unit and have worktop/storage space to accommodate it. In summary. Completely sensible purchase for our circumstances (big kitchen, big family).If you're short of space or preparing smaller food loads then a more modest unit may be suitable.Read full review

If ever the old adage of "you get what you pay for" applied to a piece of kitchen quipment then this is it. I was very tempted to purchase another Magimix like the one we'd had for years before we separated. I use liquidisers and food processors fairly infrequently, but for a few tasks I use nothing else. As this was about a third of the cost of the Magimix equivalent I gave it a try. The first thhing I noticed having been spoiled with the aforementioned Magimix is the build quality. Given my limited use however, this could last for years and having the larger capacity Magimix just takes up more space with all the add ons that neatly fit into this baby. The 1Kw motor has a very limited time it can be left on to adhere to the manufacturers recommendations for use, but it does have an auto overheat cut out safety device, so the warning are possibly set a little over zealously. Fitting the lid over the mixing bowl felt a bit Krypton factor the first few times. Not user-friendly, although now I'm a bit more intimately familiar with its workings, the reassembly after use seems to be much easier now. Summary - Good bits - designed in Manchester, small storage footprint, neat stowage of attachments, price. Bad bits - build quality, made in China - fiddly to assemble. Read full review

On the surface this looks like it does everything you want for a food processor. It has lots of blades and attachments which cover you for a wide range of tasks, however there are some serious issues with the design which make it extremely limited. First of all the blade sits high in the machine. This means that the food processor does not chop small items particularly well as they often pass under the blades. This means that often you have to run it for a long time to get a smoother consistency but which can result in strange texture due to ingredients being over worked. It also means that you need to fill the food processor with large volumes for it to work at all well. The machine cannot be used for chopping harder items such as nut and ice and when unpacked it has a warning label saying to only use it for this purpose for one minute then wait 2 then repeat. The plastic of the blender and food processor also feel thin and fragile. I do not think this will last. If I had my time again I would not buy this. I suggest that you look elsewhere.Read full review

I've had this item a few times and as a blender/food processor it is great, does everything you expect it to do. I've damaged a few parts myself which are not available anymore from the manufacturer, what undecided to do was to replace them with used from Ebay which was great as it prolonged the life of mine plus I ended up having a few spares. Now after a few years the drive shaft on mine snapped at the top (tried gluing it at first but it wouldn't hold if I was using grater tools) I checked those couple of second hand ones I had purchased only to notice that the drive shaft was snapped on both of those as well. So I believe there is a fundamental design flaw with this part especially given that it is only when using those top blades that would cause it to snap in such a way. When I now tell you that I decided to purchase a brand new one of these upon my second time of using it the same part snaps at the exact same location when I was grating some cheese I am now firmly of the belief that this isn't fit for purchase and will not be purchasing another of theseRead full review

Good value, and easy to use. Just be a little careful when sliding the blades into the disc. Much easier than expensive Kitchen Aid which lasted only 12 months, at 4 times the price. I am writing this after only 2 weeks of use, and have been a little apprehensive after reading the reviews about the faulty design and loss of function - so far all working very well, and very pleased.
