    Worth paying for a respected brand.

    I needed to replace a blown oven bulb. Marginally cheaper bulbs are available but I thought it was worth paying slightly more for an Osram branded bulb.

    Lasted less than 2 months!

    Not great as only lasted 2 months despite the Osram name!! Mind you, our oven is only 6 months old and the manufacturers bulb (Hotpoint) only lasted 4 months!! Perhaps g9 design bulbs are no good for ovens!!?? What happened to the old screw in bulbs??

    Good Value

    This was a direct replacement for the oven bulb that came with the oven. I think it is worth buying an Osram bulb rather than a generic version as I feel that the quality may be better. The bulb arrived promptly but although it was in a small padded envelope, the box containing the bulb was squashed flat putting the bulb at risk so I think the packaging could have been more fit for purpose. I think the price was reasonable - not a cheap bulb - but worth paying a little extra to save me driving around looking for the right item. Overall, satisfied but improve the packaging.

    It Works

    Osram 40w oven lamp arrived on time. Illuminates light at a very similar amount as the previous one when it is switched on. Only just installed it, so have no idea how long it will last, it’s a genuine Osram, so confident on its reliability.
