As it was for someone else (OK a Cat !) I used some water & washing up liquid to test......it stopped, started, blew a few bubble. But when the included 'stuff' went in it was great, bubbles everywhere and the Cat loved it.

Well its yellow for starters, not green. Not that it matters but just saying. And you will need 80 thousand batteries as new batteries dont last two minutes, and I put in duracell batteries so it should last but only worked the first day, the second day it had to have new batteries. And its not like it was on all day.

So I received item in good time but to start with it was smaller than expected. The battery cover was very hard to unscrew and impossible to get back on. Because the water seeped into the battery case I think this is what caused it to brake on first use. Not a good product cheep and flimsy.

This is a really impressive bubble maker. Many people arent operating this correctly- use quality power battery, place a decent amount of bubble liquid in hippo mouth but do not overfill!!!!!!, sway the bubble maker from left to right in hippo mouth to spread fluid, turn on and wait for the bubbles to flow.
