In general, I find the worst thing about audiobooks is when posh people try to do regional accents, or English people try to sound Irish etc. The same is true of West Indian accents. At first I couldn't work out why Hugh Quarshie had been chosen to narrate a Fleming novel - all old school ties and 'chaps' drinking G&Ts at the 'club'. Then the story moved to Jamaica and Quarshie was in his element. He turns the tables on them all, doing Kingston Jamaica and Kingston-upon-Thames with effortless ease. What a relief (and also a great joy to listen to).
