We bought this as a replacement for an earlier Tefal cooker, mostly because it needed a new bowl! So far it's only been used for slow cooking but it does the job very well, not like the ones with poorly fitting lids that allow all the moisture to escape. We can't comment about durability, but the old one was still working after more than ten years.
