Follow instructions as described but keep the lid off. No matter how low you have the flame the inside of the lid will soot up and fill your greenhouse with smoke before the flame eventually dies. The whole thing will totally overheat also. I’ve sat mine in a metal bowl and it’s been doing fine for a few weeks now. I fill it every 3 days.

It takes a lot of time to adjust flame so it doesn't generate black shoot. Found hanging up in ceiling of greenhouse so it was above head height caused the glass to have black marks. I ended up taken the top off and placing it in a pot plant pot on my work bench, it now lasts all night and keeps the chill off the young plants.

All around the wick caught fire, either from hot fumes or from paraffin. The unit was very hot to the touch, including the fuel inside it. The problem would appear to be that the wick holder is simply jammed into the base instead of being screwed in; which would make this - and any other - unit less prone to gas or fuel leaks. I have years of experience in using paraffin heaters and this is the first time that I have experienced this problem.

Very poor heater very poorly made. When lid placed on it just makes it smoke and creates black soot no matter how low its turned. Then goes out. I used top quality parrafin. I purchased a hurricane lamp which was much cheaper and works

This product set it self on fire. It did no damage just sent putrid black smoke everywhere in the greenhouse. I do like the product and it did burn for three days as described. It is now a question of trust. I have put it under a large terracotta plant pot in case it fires again. I only half fill it make sure it’s level with spirit level and make sure middle is firmly pushed in. Too much trouble to be honest,
