The black handle piece at the top of the unit on the handles was loose when it arrived and it feels like cheap plastic. I may have to glue it in to stop it coming out during use. The brightness is, well, not bright at all. I got two new batteries for it and assuming the batteries are powered up okay but the brightness is rubbish. It's very dim. I would go with an LED based torch going forward after this experience.
