I bought this TV after reading many reports that it was simply the best TV in the world! Now that's a tall order, considering how many TV's there are out there, although only a few Plasma TV's at this price point which was originally £5,500. I guess that because of the recession which hit everyone, including some of my rich friends, Pioneer dealers were told to drop the price in order that Panasonic could clear its warehouses of this TV. I am in Television, so I've seen some of the best pictures on some of the best monitors in the world, but nothing could prepare me for what I was about to experience when I unboxed mine. I turned it to Pure Mode (which means that you see the images without any processing - like the Hollywood producers would like you to see them), and my jaw simply dropped at the stunning colours and razor sharp images, but that's not all. The blacks were the deepest black I've ever seen, and the peak whites were amazing too. Now Pioneer claim that without these two factors you cannot get true colour, and they were right. To top it all off, even DVD's looked almost as if they were bluray discs which is down to the image scaling that the Media Box upscaling circuitry employs. Bottom line: if you want the best picture quality that no other TV can give you, you have to see this one; correction, you have to buy this one.Read full review
