    Varta H3 for BMW 525D.

    Purchased this battery for a BMW 525D (2005 - E61) after having two Bosch S3 replacements over 3 years rated at 90AH with a specification identical to the original BMW battery supplied by Varta. The Bosch batteries were not up to the job. This replacement is 100AH and fitted exactly into the battery tray without any issues. It needed about 4 hours on charge prior to fitting to top it up, but I would consider it nearly fully charged on delivery. It's early days yet, hence 4 stars rather than 5, but other batteries that I have bought recently for BMWs have been Varta and I have never had any issues with their performance in the long term. The battery price was good, and delivery next day, all achieved without any problems.
