Pretty solid chain breaker, did the job with no major issues. The tool is pretty well constructed and is great value for the price. Only slight issue I had was the little part for pushing the master link into place before riveting was just too large for the links on my chain. (428)

Bought this tool after reading mixed reviews. It’s certainly not heavy duty. The pins buckled and the spring snapped into pieces, this was after I ground the rivets with a grinder. No excessive force was used. There is only one backing plate which makes it impossible to push the pins on the new chain through evenly, luckily my son is a fabricator and made me one to fit,his professional opinion was to bin it..I find it hard to believe the good reviews on this tool are genuine. Do not buy this and waste your money and your time, not to mention the frustration,I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this is cheap copy of probably,a good tool

A decent, heavy duty chain breaker and riveting tool Sadly, these don't come with manuals or instructions and Ryde UK referred me to YouTube for instructions, of course, there are no instructions for the Ryde product! However, as this is sold under different brand names, I found a video that covered this and answered my questions - so be aware of this fact! Now I've used it in anger, I do recommend this product, it's of a good quality and makes chain breaking/riveting easy

This simple tool does not come with instructions, but to be honest, you don't really need them if you are just changing a motorcycle chain. I used this on a DID X-ring heavy duty chain and it worked fine, although a large spanner does help. I would also recommend using a grinder to take the heads off of any rivets prior to chain removal. Finally, do give the tool a liberal coating with rust preventing oil before you put it away in the shed though if you are only going to use it occasionally.

Although this came with no instructions the tool is easy to use .I dismantled the tool and greased the threads before use, then used it to rivet a heavy duty 530 motorcycle chain which it did with no problems .I think where people have issues with this type of tool is when they miss use the tool ie..dont grind rivet heads off before pressing pins out and trying to mushroom new rivet link too much ...hope this helps
