I purchased this to replace one i had stolen out of my car after stupidly leaving the back door open so i could put rubbish in for the dumpit site, it was my husbands, he likes this but he loved his old one.
Bought to replace my logik 8.5" screen. The quality of this 10" is much better viewing, other reason was because battery built in, so overall size a lot better to handle as at least 2" less in depth. Screen forms inside size of lid whereas other one took a lot more space even as it was a physically smaller screen. Only real down side being it has only one headphone socket, not 2 as other model had. Charger failed after a couple of charges but swiftly replaced by seller. Major downside to me is that other model played all divx thrown at it, but this will only play ones it likes. Ask to seller said to get divx to match it, but as most were downloads, have no chance of playing them on this player, which is main reason buying it in the first place. I havent tried doing my own divx conversions for it yet, so will see how that pans out. Playing normal dvds - I cant fault at all, it is as good quality as my arcos (but obviously larger screen!) which is best comment I can give. So, all in all, PROS - Excellent screen CONS - Fussy divx playback, one headphone socket, but wont be getting rid of it anytime soon, battery life good for 2 hours + a midge over if volume not used at full. Would have excellent rating if not for divx 'problem'.Read full review
This is a solidly made piece of kit, from a maker with a decent reputation. On the positive side, its 10.5 inch screen gives a nice clear image. There is a widescreen switch which can correct the over/understretched image fault that commonly affects DVD material. The built-in speakers are small but they work. Sound is best through stereo headphones, though these are not supplied. Deck-based control buttons do all the main jobs involved in playing movie disks. On the negative side there is no carrying case, something that is often included by other manufacturers. The default settings include an elapsed-time display on the screen. This has to be switched off each time, using the Display button on the handset; something I discovered myself since there is no mention of it in the instruction leaflet. The handset signal receiver is slightly below the level of the player's deck, which means it doesn't work if the handset is held above the machine. The battery charger works well and no part of the equipment gets too hot while charging. However, there is no indication of the stage of the battery charge, other than when it is totally flat and the player stops working. You can expect to watch a standard length movie on a single charging. Overall, I would say this is as good as any ordinary portable DVD player on the market today, and the big screen is definitely a strong selling point.Read full review
This is the first DVD Player I have owned, so I do not have anything to compare it to. In my view there is nothing to dislike about it. What I LIKE about it are the clear and simple controls. The 10inch Screen is very clear and has adjustability to various angles. It sits very nicely on top of a stool next to my Sofa so I can stretch out in comfort to watch films on it.The actual reason for my buying it was to enable me to watch Craft DVD's. I can follow the Demonstrations step by step using the pause button to enable me to copy the instructions. I think I made a very good purchase with this Machine.
Great product very well built. Bought it for my son as we are travelling to mexico soon. Picture quality is more than you would expect from a portable player. would recommend to anyone.
