1st set sent was poor quality, and the 'C' shaped part was not manufactured correctly. A replacement was sent, but cannot be used for hollow pin rivetting, as the pin form is incorrect. It should have a dimple on the end to allow the hollow pin link to be rivetted. This set has a plain end pin with a slight chamfer, absolutely no use whatsoever! This is a cheap Chinese copy, and I strongly recommend not to use one!!

Crumpled the extractor pin when face with an average 420 seal chain, even if the guidance on centre was sufficient (which it is not) the the cheesey material is not up to the job. The cast body is OK. Ive a lathe so ill remake some parts. As the saying goes "It might be cheap but at least its cr*p!" not actualy that cheap!!

Bought this to try on a chain. It split the old chain with no problems but the riveter was too soft to push out the rivets to size. When pressure was applied the riveter end just squashed up and then got stuck in the tool. Had to cut it off and buy a harder riveter. Can only use this kit to split chains now.

The item was delivered on time, which is about the only positive thing I can say. I was using it to replace the chain on a Yamaha Fazer. On removing the old chain rivet, the tooled bent and buckled, which wasnt a promising start. The holes on the press plate did not line up to the new chain's links. Upon trying to rivet the new chain in place, the pins snapped without even slightly quashing the rivet. Upon using one of the other pins, the main block of the tool snapped, making it totally unusable. Useless! I guess it could work on a lightweight chain(??), but as its advertised as 'heavy duty', I would expect it to work on a standard road bike chain!

This product was incapable of making a rivet as the material it was composed of was too soft. When it contacted the rivet on my motor cycle chain, it tore itself apart under pressure. Not recommended at all.
