It is not really quiet but you get used to the noise and you don't need to turn up the TV or anything. Can sleep with it on. Its easy to carry but is heavy so do be careful if lifting. Safe to leave on as it stops when water tank is full. Will have to wait to see if it makes a difference with the mould in the home after the winter. Not sure about the laundry setting as not sure how fast it is meant to help dry clothes.

we use it in the room where we dry the clothes, it works. It's not clear from the description but it DOES have a cut out switch if the water tank fills up. Update: 14 months later it died. I think the refrigerant gas leaked out. We did use it a lot. I may just buy another one.

Good quality. In my opinion it is noisy, but it's my first dehumidifier and I have nothing to compare it with. But it does the job. It feels over night, and it stops when it's done. I never knew I've had do much "water" flying around in my lounge. It's just unbelievable. Ground floor flat, with years of mold issues, all put behind now.

this is the second de-humidifier I have had from De Longhi. I have tried many others, Maplin etc, but these are so good. Why? Good collection capacity. Quiet running. Can be plugged into an external timer too, and the settings remain. Extremely efficient.
