My first 'go pro'...yes I was naive, but the product description makes great claims for the video quality, and it's a fraction of the price of a real go pro, so I thought I'd try it. Hopefully this review will save you the same learning curve. Camera comes without a sd card, so the first thing I did was buy a big card (cost more than the camera) and then tried to record a movie. I went straight for the hi-res setting to try that out. A mpeg file was created, but I wouldn't call it a movie. When opened in windows media player it didn't play properly. The first 3 seconds were fine, but after that it played at 1 frame per second, the sound was continuous and unbroken, but the picture wasn't moving, just 1 still frame every second. I was new to this, so my first thought was that I was doing something wrong. Did some research (better late than never) and found that I should be using a 'class 10' sd card because they have the read/write speeds necessary for hi-res movies. What a dope? So I spent more than the camera cost for a second time on a class 10 sd card (much more of this and I could've bought a real go pro! Tried the new card to discover that the very same defect in video was happening. So I took a series of test videos, one on each of the resolution settings that the camera has. The only 'successful' recording was on 720p, and even that wouldn't play on windows media player, I had to download another player to watch it. The quality of a 720p movie is not good. Not good enough for the reason I bought the camera. Don't buy this camera, save up for a real one!Read full review

Great if you are not a million air or put music loudly in the background of your videos. Yeah the audio wasn't so good but all the other functions work amazingly but I'm recording myself on rides sooooo I'll just cut out the screaming and put music in the back ground so that's fine by me
