Rather than offering rigidly defined cooking zones, the large 80cm wide AEG HK884400XG ceramic induction hob lets you choose where your pans go, with the flexible MaxiSense cooking area. This provides a large cooking surface allowing you to place pans anywhere, as long as the cross is covered.

And thanks to a MaxiSight colour display, the status of each cooking zone is clearly displayed, offering plenty of detailed information while you cook. You can easily select precise settings with a touch of the finger, thanks to the Direktouch system, which gives you instant access to the hob controls.

The intelligent design of this hob doesn’t end at its appearance and simple usability; it uses power intelligently for reduced energy consumption thanks to an Öko timer, which allows you to use the hob’s residual heat during the last few minutes of the cooking process.

You have complete control with the AEG HK884400XG induction hob: the CountUp timer allows you to closely monitor the progress of each dish, as it starts at zero and keeps counting until you stop or reset it. The STOP+GO function simultaneously switches all cooking zones that are switched on to the keep warm setting, and then back to the heat setting that was previously used. This is a godsend for dinner party hosts who want to pre-cook the food before their guests arrive, and then want to get it hot again quickly for the table.

Ultra-efficient induction works by creating a magnetic field between the hob and steel or iron pan. The heat is instant; it is easily controlled and energy efficient. Surfaces are very easy to clean and the bevelled edge design ensures no trapped dirt. With child proof lock for added peace of mind.

Please note: If you have a heart pacemaker, do seek advice from your doctor before using an induction hob. Please also only use pans suitable for induction hobs. These include enamelled steel, iron, stainless steel (depending on the alloy) and some aluminium pans with a ferromagnetic base. Glass and copper bases are unsuitable.
