A protective case on the back of the top cassette unit and the brush seal in the side rails stops light from leaking in at the top of the blind, making it completely blackout. These features also have the added benefit of preventing damage or any marking to the fabric during installation.

Choosing the right colour
To help you make your choice on which colour blind to go for you can order up to 5 fabric samples by emailing johnlewis@blocblinds.com. Samples will arrive within 3 days. There's also a wider range of fabrics available to view and order in any of our shops.

Choosing the right size
To select the right size skylight blind you don't actually need to get your tape measure out as roof windows include an identification label that tells you the size. This label is usually found on the top or side of the window when it's open, so as you swing it open take a look at the top and side edges. You'll see a metal patch with the brand name and some codes. The first code will be three letters long and is your 'Window Type' code. You're looking for the next code, which will be three or four characters long with letters and numbers, for example 'BK04'. This is the 'Size Code'.

Measure the width and drop of the glass then either pop into one of our shops to speak to a Partner or book an appointment (either in-home or virtual) and one of our estimators can help.
